Why do I need to choose a domain name for my website?

Domain names and server IPs are the two main components that can provide you with a unique identity. Your website’s URL is how you identify yourself.

In the United States, the main reason behind the growth of the Internet is the access to the Internet. The constant changes of Web access through technologies and computing is helping us to bring down the cost of accessing information and doing research. The ever-evolving nature of technology through the internet is enabling us to discover new skills that we did not have before.

Along with this, any website that is providing business or marketing services for customers needs a unique identifier.

When you create your website, you need a domain name for it. This is also known as a domain name. A domain name is a part of your website’s domain. It consists of a five or more characters, such as a number, letter, and the dot between them.

Another important aspect of creating a unique website is creating a logo for your website. It should be a simple design that your users can easily recognize

Looking for the best Palm Springs golf discounts?

The hot summer months bring the best Palm Springs golf discounts to our valley of the whole year.  It’s a great time to take advantage of some of our world class courses for at a STEEP discount (like 80 – 90% kinda discount).  You can book a golf break at amendoeira today and share fun times with your friends.

While the best deals (single digit deals, like $9 to play Cathedral Canyon Golf Club !) start in the afternoon, when the summer sun is arguably at its most unforgiving, there are still some amazing deals early in the morning or later in the afternoon. I also recommend to look at the Best golf breaks with Golf Holidays Direct I love the summer months because you can still fit in 18 holes in the evening.  Yes it’s hot, but you know, it’s a dry heat!  :)

Here is a snapshot of some of the deals available with a graphic below that lists the deals in ascending order.

  • Cathedral Canyon Country Club takes the cake for the least expensive round.  The rates range from $5 – $18 dollars for 18 holes (they have two 9 hole courses).  And this really blew me away: I found a $5 tee time starting at 7:31 tomorrow MORNING!  How can you beat that deal?
  • Desert Dunes Golf Club’s average price is around $30/round, but you can also find random tee times available for $5 and $10 – some are early afternoon and evening times which aren’t bad.  This is an excellent course as long as the wind isn’t blowing too much. Magnets are a great invention. They can be used for so many things, such as sticking something on the door of your refrigerator or holding together two ends of a piece of jewelry., you can find more uses that you can give for magnets in this website, industry today.
  • Rancho Las Palmas will send you around for $19 in the afternoon and $29 in the morning.  After you’re done, you can jump into their Splashtopia to cool off or jump across the street to the Yard House for a drink and some food.  Rancho Las Palmas is in a perfect location in the heart of Rancho Mirage.

Here is a full list of golf rates as of today, August 7, 2013 taken from our homepage after sorting the “Book Now” column.  Please book your round directly through our website by clicking on the blue “BOOK” button – we use the Golf Now booking engine and there is NO additional cost to you (we just receive a small commission for each booking).  Thanks!

La Quinta Country Club invites you to preview the Club for the season!

Not only has La Quinta Country Club recently made some wonderful changes and updates to their club, but they are now offering an incredibly easy and attractive opportunity to explore the club for a season. Read below for the details and call Kelly for more information!  (Contact info below.)

La Quinta Country Club

La Quinta Country Club

One of the most prestigious private country clubs in the Palm Springs area, La Quinta Country Club, located at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, has a rich history stemming back to its founding year in 1959.  Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower arrived in his private helicopter to cut the ribbon and formally open the Club.  Hollywood stars and PGA players were drawn to this classic and traditional course.

La Quinta Country Club has hosted the Humana Challenge (formerly the Bob Hope Classic) for more than 45 years and will again host the event in 2013.  Their championship 18-hole course is impeccably maintained and its greens “are the best on tour”, according to Phil Mickelson, PGA Tour Player.

In 2006, it was decided that the clubhouse (fondly called “The Shack”) had suffered too much earthquake damage and would have to be rebuilt.  Three years later, the beautiful new 37,000 sq. foot Santa Barbara style clubhouse and outlying buildings were completed to the delight of the membership.  The Club is entirely Member owned.

The Members are drawn to La Quinta Country Club by golf but quickly fall in love for another reason, it feels like home.  They enjoy the cards, dining, dancing, social activities, golf tournaments, state-of-the-art workout facility and the many spa services available such as massage, nail and hair salons.

With a warm, friendly and very social membership, La Quinta Country Club is a desirable home away from home.

The Single Season Preview initiative:

La Quinta Country Club is offering a “single season preview initiative” for anybody interested in previewing this club’s full membership entitlements for a season (now through May 31st, 2013).  This is an incredible way to explore the club as the new member is only committed to one season and they pay reduced monthly dues and no initiation deposit!  It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore the many amenities at this club without a permanent financial investment.  Here are the details: You may elect to join the Club at any time during the 2012-2013 season; however, there is a pricing incentive should you join within the first 30 days of this preview initiative. This pricing is as follows:

    • $50,000 for a Regular Membership (a $25,000 discount).
      • Unlimited golf and unlimited use of the clubhouse facilities
    • $25,000 for an Associate Membership (a $5,000 discount).
      • 4 rounds of golf/month for both Member and spouse and unlimited use of the clubhouse facilities.  Additional rounds may be purchased at the prevailing green fee rate.
    • $20,000 for a Junior Executive Membership (ages 21-49) (a $5,000 discount).
      • Unlimited golf and unlimited use of the clubhouse facilities.
      • Children are included in this membership until they reach the age of 22.
      • There is no additional membership initiation fee upon reaching age 50
      • At age 50, your membership turns to an equity membership.
    • $5,000 for a Social Membership (a $3,000 discount).
      • This is not a golf membership, but the rules allow for 6 rounds per person in season (Nov. – May 31) and unlimited use of the clubhouse facilities.
    • All new members receive discounted dues of:
      • 35% in year one (12 months)
      • 25% in year two (12 months)
      • 15% in year three (12 months)
      • They are committed to the full monthly dues amount in year 4 and beyond.

To schedule a private tour and inquire about membership, please contact Kelly O’Day, Membership Director at (760) 972-4894 or koday@lqcc.org.  We look forward to welcoming you to the lifestyle of La Quinta Country Club.

Up Close At Mountain View Country Club, La Quinta

Our Golf Shorts blog is doing a series of interviews with golf clubs throughout the valley to offer an inside look at each club.  The first in this series is an interview with Christine Allen, the membership director for Mountain View Country Club.

TG: Hi Christine, thanks for joining us. Please give us some background on Mountain View Country Club:

Mountain View in La Quinta, CA is an exclusive community developed by Toll Brothers that has been serving members and residents since 2003. The community consists of 426 home sites (376 detached homes and 50 condos) that have been sold out since 2011, and a country club with a maximum capacity of 325 Full Equity Memberships. The Club is the ideal place for members to connect with old friends, or meet new ones to create lasting relationships as they enjoy a packed social calendar.

TG: Mountain View enjoys tremendous positive feedback from its membership and really anybody who has had the opportunity to play the course and explore the grounds.  Please describe the amenities included at the club:

Mountain View Country Club is known for its outdoor beauty, featuring a spectacular Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course with emerald green fairways and picturesque mountain views, as well as 4 hard tennis courts. Inside, the magnificent Clubhouse reflects the rich architectural heritage of the Spanish Colonial era for which La Quinta is renowned. The Clubhouse includes a pro shop and main dining room with exquisite cuisine prepared by the Club’s French chef. Depending on the season, the restaurant serves all 3 meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cantina, or bar, is a mid-day and late night hot spot for Members, always stocked with quality food and beverage offerings. The Spa and Fitness building, with a state-of-the-art fitness center, offers classes & private instruction based on preference and the latest fitness trends. In this building, there is also a tranquil spa and steam room, complete with locker facilities with card rooms, TVs and lounges to relax after a long day. The 66 feet long outdoor pool ranges in depth from 3-5 feet, and can be used for recreational as well as fitness purposes, such as doing laps.  There is also an outdoor hot tub, golf practice facility and a private room for booking special events.

TG: How busy is the club and what kind of events can members expect to see?

The club is always busy – with members in for dinner, to take classes and much more. The events are endless, with Ladies’ Guest Days, Wine Tastings, Super Bowl Tailgate Party and many more, that range from friendly to competitive. Mountain View also offers ‘Clubs within a Club,’ close-knit groups which are a personal way for Members to share their interests, commonalties and get together for a great time. Some of the Member Clubs include: Dog Lovers’ Club, Book Club, Men’s Poker Club and many more.

TG: Who can become a member and are there different membership levels available?

Anyone can become a Member of Mountain View Country Club, as we offer resident and non-resident memberships. Some of the different membership levels available include Equity Golf, Equity Non-Resident Golf and Social Memberships.

TG: How many of the 325 golf memberships are available?

We currently have 284 Golf Members and 163 Social Members.

TG: Are membership rights transferrable to guests or tenants? Please explain.

Yes, our Transfer Member Program allows tenants to enjoy the Club with the same status as the Member in which they are renting their home from. Therefore, if a tenant is renting the home of a Golf Member for four months or more, the tenant will receive all of the privileges of a Golf Member for a fee during the rental period. This same concept applies for guests as well. If a guest of a Social Member, for example, were visiting and coming to the Club, the guest, as long as they are accompanied by a Member, would receive all of the privileges that come with a Social Membership during their time visiting the Member.

TG: If people have further questions about the club, what is the best way to contact you for more information?

For more information about Mountain View Country Club, please visit our website at www.MountainViewAtLaQuinta.com. Or, visit us at Facebook.com/MountainViewAtLaQuinta

For membership information please e-mail Christine Allen at Callen@tollbrothers.com or call 760-771-4311 ext. 119.

Summer Golf Deals In Indian Wells and La Quinta

Golf courses throughout the Coachella Valley are coming out of the woodwork (finally!) this summer to offer some great golf deals in the desert.  Yeah, it’s hot, but the days are long and it’s the only time of the year that you can get a full work day in and then get a round 0f 19 in after work on a world class golf course for an incredible deal! And yes, I meant 19. You need a beer or three after to cool down. Aside from the deals that most courses have during the summer, here are 2 other summer promotions that I’m aware of:

The La Quinta Resort & PGA West have really stepped up to the plate this summer and are offering the following too-good-to-be-true deal:

Pay $125 up front and receive a Bridgestone golf bag, a certificate for a foursome during season and the ability to play the Mountain Course at La Quinta Resort, Dunes Course at La Quinta Resort, Greg Norman Course at PGA West or The Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West for $25 per round any day at any time! Yeah, awesome, but why does greg norman hate the pga tour. The only caveat is that you can’t make a tee time more than 24 hours beforehand. Amazing deal and one that yours truly could not pass up.

The Indian Wells Golf Resort is offering the following special:

$89 Friday – Sunday play and $79 Monday – Thursday play through August 30th. Those prices include a $15 IW club credit for food and drink and there is free same day replay. The newly designed courses are always in immaculate condition, even considering how much play they get, and definitely worth the higher cost.

There are numerous other deals out there. If you know of any specific deals, please add them to the comments.  And take a look at our home page for a snapshot of the available prices – you can book online through our golfnow booking service.

“Book Now” functionality just added!

We’ve just added the ability to book tee times at public and resort courses! I’m really excited about this — we’ve partnered with GolfNow.com and their booking service (provided by the Golf Channel). This is just like booking directly on GolfNow.com (you incur no additional fees, and we get a small commission for successfully booked rounds.) We’re providing the GolfNow price on the list/home page so you can easily scroll and find the course with the deal you’re looking for. Even better, you can also click on the “Book Now” column title and the column will sort by price. Note: The discounted price in red isn’t necessarily the least expensive price, but it should be really close. (We query the GolfNow system every day and this is the first price that is returned…) Hope this is useful!

The next feature we plan to add is a mailing list future that will keep users up to date with changes to membership costs, tee time prices and any changes at these clubs. Stay tuned!

Bug Fixes

The feedback has been great so far! Thanks to everyone who has explored the site and updated its content. I am still working on spreading the word to more membership directors and golf pros before promoting it too heavily to the public. I’d like to have the site more complete with updated information before making the big push to the public. Please help in any way possible.

There were a few bugs that have recently been corrected. One bug prevented anyone from saving changes if the membership contact info was filled in (sorry!) and the other one prevented users from submitting updates if they had a very small screen resolution. These are now corrected -thanks for bringing these to our attention. Please continue to give us feedback and thanks again for using the site. Our goal is to make this a really useful resource.

Soft Launch for the Desert Golf List!

Welcome!  Thanks for stopping by the newly launched DesertGolfList.com. We have added a bunch of baseline golf data to the DGL homepage, and have rolled the site out live over the last couple weeks.  We’re now working on spreading the word and publicizing the website to get more activity and data added.  Please spend some time on the website and let us know what you think!
